National Campaign to Prevent Teen and Unplanned Pregnancy

On May 23, President Trump revealed his budget priorities for fiscal year (FY) 2018. This budget includes deep cuts to teen pregnancy prevention programs, including the elimination of the Teen Pregnancy Prevention (TPP) Program. The President’s budget does propose level funding for the Personal Responsibility Education Program (PREP) and Title X Family Planning Program, but it would deeply restrict access to high quality contraceptive providers and make health insurance coverage inaccessible for millions of low-income Americans. What can you do? The President’s budget is a proposal – Congress oversees setting the budget. Contact your legislators to let them know how these programs positively impact your community and Alabama. Feel free to use resources from our website!
