More News about How Abrupt Cuts to TPPP Are Affecting Youth-Serving Programs

Last month we shared that the Trump Administration made the decision to abruptly end Teen Pregnancy Prevention Programming (TPPP), the evidence-based sex education program that was just renewed in 2015 for another five years. Youth-serving programs in Texas and Baltimore are beginning to cope with the news, and in this article they share why it’s problematic. Health and Human Services (HHS) says that the TPPP has shown “negative or no impact on the behavior” of teens, but we know the teen birth rate has dropped 41% since 2010, in part because of TPPP.
