Access to Most Effective Birth Control Could Save $12 Billion a Year

In the US, we have continued to see a decline in unintended pregnancy rates. Still, about half of all pregnancies are unplanned. A new report from Child Trends says that access to the most effective contraception (IUDs and the implant) could lead to further declines in the unintended pregnancy rate, leading to a public health care cost savings of $12 billion per year.
