On Thursday March 9th the Alabama Alliance for Healthy Youth will be partnering with the Alabama Campaign to Prevent Teen Pregnancy and URGE: Unite for Reproductive and Gender Equity for our 5th Annual Youth Advocacy Day.  Young people ages 15 to 26 are invited to come, participate in trainings on advocacy and lobbying, then attend meetings and have lunch with their legislators, closing the day with a rally on the steps.  We’ll be in the State House from 9am-3:30pm, Rm. 304, and we’ll have free breakfast and lunch for participants, as well as buttons and t-shirts.  There is a bus coming from Birmingham (leaving at 7:15am from the AIDS Alabama office), that attendees can register to ride, or at the event they can fill out a reimbursement form if they drove themselves. We will also have excuse forms at the event, so students can share those with their schools/teachers. Registration is open – please register by Wednesday, March 1.
