In November the Alabama Campaign joined individuals and organizations across the country to say #ThxBirthControl. We at the Alabama Campaign believe that sexual health education includes education about abstinence AND condoms and birth control. We also believe that people need access to knowledge and services. We join the National Campaign in saying #ThxBirthControl throughout the year because:

• 99% of sexually active women have used birth control in their lifetime
• 81% of adults (93% of Republicans and 98% of Democrats) agree that birth control is a basic part of women’s health care
• The CDC considers contraception to be one of the greatest public health achievements of the 20^th century
