National Campaign to Prevent Teen and Unplanned Pregnancy

Every year we celebrate National Teen Pregnancy Prevention Month with partners across the country. We have seen the national teen pregnancy rate decrease by 55% since 1980, and the national teen birth rate decrease by 62% – historic lows for both. In Alabama, those rates have also significantly decreased. But, we always have more work to do. National Teen Pregnancy Prevention Month is a celebration of how far we’ve come, and a rally cry for more evidence-informed, medically accurate, age-appropriate, inclusive programming for young people.
