Alabama’s 2020 Legislative Session begins tomorrow, Tuesday, February 4! Just in time for the new session, we have released our 2020 Policy Priorities – these are the priorities, built by the Board of Directors and staff, that are guiding our work this year, and that meet our mission to champion healthy adolescent development through evidence-informed sexual health education and services. They are:

1. Remove homophobic language from the Alabama Sexual Health Education Law
2. Ensure evidence-informed, age-appropriate sex education policies at the local school system level.
3. Mandate comprehensive and inclusive sex education in public schools.
4. Ensure sexual and reproductive health access for all Alabamians.
