Throughout the year we have talked about Getting to Outcomes and highlighted some evidence-based programs. We hope this has been helpful – our goal is to ensure that everyone implementing a sex education program is using the program that fits best with the young people they serve. This month we are highlighting Making a Difference. This evidence-based program is abstinence-based, and intended for youth ages 12-14. It can be facilitated in a school setting or community-based setting. Making a Difference gives young people knowledge and skills about their changing bodies, healthy relationships, and how to say no to unwanted sexual activities. For more information on Making a Difference you can visit ETR. You can also request a training from the Alabama Campaign.
